My True Name is Margaret. Most people forget this after a few minutes and try to call me Megan. A new manager at work once called me Bridget, which I thought was hilarious, because he just reached for the first old lady name he could think of.
As a toddler, I once ate a jumbo orange crayon and pooped orange for two days. As a child I never believed in Santa but was fairly convinced I might be able figure out how to either float with umbrellas or slow my descent from jumps by kicking my legs like Luigi, who I had a crush on at the age of 7. If you combine my western zodiac sign with my eastern zodiac sign, I'm two sheep.
In public school I was immediately labeled a "gifted" student. What this actually meant was just that I could read and write a little before kindergarten and I have terrible anxiety. I also have on-and-off depression (mostly seasonal) and ADHD. My body collects chronic ailments and pains with the same enthusiasm a child in a park might collect fallen pine cones.
I've always drawn, but I didn't get serious until I was 12 and just discovering that fan art was a thing people did and that there was a word (anime) for the specific kind of animation I was becoming very interested in. I took some figure drawing classes in community college; that's the greatest extent of my formal training. I like art as a semi-profitable hobby and not a job. My other hobbies include video games, baking, figurine collecting, tabletop/board games, and embroidery.
I am currently living in Oregon with a chaotic neutral entity that demands to watch me shower so she can lick the water off my feet when I get out.

yes.
CAN I USE / REPOST YOUR ART?
please see my rules!
WILL YOU DRAW ME SOMETHING?
patrons and ko-fi subscribers get free monthly sketch requests, or you could commission me!
DO YOU EVER DO FREE REQUESTS?
sometimes, on a complete whim, i will open sketch requests to my followers on twitter. i usually do this to break art blocks, test new tools or get limber after a period where i haven't drawn for a while. i don't do every request i get.
WHAT'S DOODLEMANCY. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??
it’s doodle + mancy as in the suffix used to denote specialized magic (ex. pyromancy, necromancy).
WHAT SOFTWARE AND TOOLS DO YOU USE TO MAKE ART?
2012: i was drawing in pencil and coloring in paint tool sai with a wacom bamboo tablet.
2013: i figured out how to draw with the bamboo.
2014: a friend gave me a wacom intuos 4, which i continued to draw on in sai.
2020-present: i use an xp-pen artist 15.6 monitor tablet with clip studio paint. i sometimes also use a samsung galaxy tab a with s-pen for mobile sketching. i am a big believer in good reference and especially 3D reference that i can pose. i use designdoll and/or clip studio's 3D models.

oh goodness no. i have no idea what i'm doing.
WELL... DO YOU HAVE ANY USEFUL ART TIPS?
i i'm not skilled enough to teach you How To Draw but i know a thing or two about Being An Artist.
